When you call, tell:
1. What has happened: an accident or an attack of illness,


2. The exact address,


3. Are there people in danger?


4. Give clear answers to the questions.


5. Close the phone only when permitted.


6. Remember to guide the helpers to the site.Emergency calls are free and no area codes are needed.
You can dial 112 from any active phone although it would otherwise be locked.




How to resuscitate



1. First check whether you can wake the collapsed person up by shaking him and by talking to him. If the person does not wake up...


2. Shout for help or dial yourself 112 for the emergency service and follow the instructions given. Tell shortly what has happened and give the exact address. Listen carefully and answer the questions posed to you, follow the instructions given.


3. Check if the patient is breathing normally.Open the airways by lifting the chin upwards and tilting the head well back. Check if the person's chest is rising. Feel and listen the air stream from the mouth and the nose.


4. Start chest compressions. Find the correct place to apply pressure. Place the heel of one hand on the middle of the breastbone and the heel of the other hand on the on top of the first one. Press the breastbone 30 times with your arms straight at a rate of 100 times / minute. Depress the breastbone approximately 4-5 cm. After chest compressions...


5. Begin to give mouth-to-mouth ventilation with two blows of air. Close the patient's nose by pinching the nostrils with your thumb and index finger. How to help an unconscious person


1. When you see a collapsed person, find out does he respond to shaking of the shoulders. If he does not wake up, shout for help or dial yourself 112 for the emergency service and follow the instructions given.
Check if the patient is breathing. If he is breathing, place him in the recovery position to ensure continuous breathing.

How to stop Dial 112 if necessary!


1. Raise the injured limb and stop the bleeding by applying direct pressure over the wound with fingers or with hand.


2. Lay the severely bleeding casualty immediately down.


3. If bandages are at hand, apply a pressure bandage over the wound.


4. Raise and support injured part above the level of the casualty´s heart.
